London Road, Portsmouth Project: 6th May Progress Update

Our London Road development is moving closer to completion, with significant progress made across all floors. Here’s the latest update from our builder on-site, giving us a clear picture of how the project is coming together.



Top Floor: Final Touches and Finishes

  • Bedrooms Complete: Carpets laid, radiators fitted, and built-in wardrobes installed, complete with drawers and hanging rails.

  • Bathrooms Ready: Towel rails, basins, toilets, and showers are all in place, with sleek panelled finishes.

  • Attention to Detail: Door stoppers added to prevent clashes, ensuring a clean, polished look.



Middle Floor: Carpets, Wardrobes, and Final Decorating


  • Bedroom Wardrobes Installed: Shelving and hanging rails are fitted, providing plenty of storage space.

  • Bathrooms Almost Complete: Plumbing and final touch-ups underway, with shower screens and mirrors being installed.

  • Carpets Laid: Soft, durable carpets across all rooms for comfort and style.

  • Energy Efficiency: The MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) system is connected and operational, providing fresh, filtered air throughout.



Ground Floor: Kitchens, Flooring, and Plant Room


  • Main Kitchen Progressing: Worktops are being installed, with trims and final adjustments ongoing.

  • Plant Room Upgrades: Two heat pumps have arrived, with plumbing being finalised for efficient heating.

  • Exterior Slab Completed: Decorative stone laid, and final touches being made to the exterior area.

  • Vinyl Flooring Installed: Durable and easy to maintain, perfect for high-traffic areas.



Final Steps: Bringing It All Together


  • The last of the kitchen worktops are being scribed and fitted.

  • Wardrobes, shelves, and hanging rails are being added in each room.

  • Bathrooms are being fitted with mirrors, towel rails, and final touch-ups.

  • Hallway acoustic panels installed for noise control.
